Rolling Route to the peak of Fansipan Mountain

Fansipan is the highest mountain in Viet Nam, located on the majestic Hoang Lien Son range. It is also the third highest mountain in Indochina, so called the "Roof of Indochina". Conquering Fansipan Peak is a desire of the backpackers around the World.

Fansipan Mountain is 3.143 meters in high, located in Lao Cai province. Fansipan is far from Sapa around 9 kilometers to the southwest, in contiguous zone of two provinces of Lao Cai and Lai Chau in Vietnam Northwest mountain region. 
According to scientists, Fansipan Mountain was formed over 100 million years ago. Plants here have 1,680 species and 679 kinds divided into 7 groups with some very rare kinds.

Fansipan's peak has always been a meeting point for many climbers, explorers and many visitors who are enthusiastic in conquering nature. Nothing is more than being tried our best to conquer a majestic mountain. Climbing Fansipan, you will feel clearly that "Life is a journey, not a destination". Touching your foot to Fansipan mountain top with many clouds covering is so interesting, how happy you will feel when enjoying the spectacular sight right under your feet. And if you have the opportunity to stay overnight at Fansipan, you would see a sky full of stars.

There are 3 main routes to conquer Fansipan:
  1. The longest road (about 37 kilometers of mountain road) from Cat Cat village of Sapa at altitude of 1.245 meters. This route will be extremely admirable if you go to in September, when the terraced fields tinged with yellow color. However, this is a journey only for those who have good stamina.
  2. The most steepest route is started from Sin Chai village at altitude of 1.260 meters (about 25 kilometers).
  3. The shortest route (16 kilometers) less dangerous but still beautiful though less than other two above routes. It starts Tram Ton (entrance of Hoang Lien Son National Park) at an altitude of 1.934 meters. This route is selected by many amateur climbers, normal tourists because of less dangerous and less time-consuming. If you go fast, you could go to and back in one day, or at most 2 days 1 night)
The most appropriate time for climbing is from September late year to March next year. However, the road to Fansipan is the most beautiful at the end of February, when the flowers start blooming on mountain.

When you climb over high point of 2,800 meters of Fansipan,
the road is very difficult to climb because of high slope and deep pools,
you should have to use a ladder to pass. It includes a lot of potential danger to visitors.
