Cultural hamlet of Hagiang - Tha small village

In contrast to the villages ensconcing next to flank of grandeur rugged mountains, rocks is everywhere, but Tha village is liken to a soft veil with the green of paddy fields, palm groves. Tha village is really quiet with no music, no noise of vehicles, no sound of footstep, only the gurgle of water all day in the small ditches.

Distant view are is row on row of mountains, Tha village is covered by white mist in whole year, along with the scenery of clouds and the vast green forests. The village is pretty because it is a cultural village still protecting the intactness of the traditionally cultural values of Tay ethnic group. Notably, the stilt houses are still almost original. Although it is far from the city of Ha Giang a short distance but Tha village seems to be a different world which has no building or crowded traffic.

Walking around the village, enjoying the fresh air, visitors can see and feel its own specific charm. The Tay families here are hospitable and always ready to welcome the guests from afar to come in their houses. Only just a cup of tea but more important thing is along with a smile or a friendly look making visitors hesitate, don’t want to come back home.

Tay people in Tha village still preserve traditional weave of brocade and make products such as bags, towels, clothes so visitors may have an opportunity to observe, to learn even to do by yourself.
 
Tha village has nearly ten large, beautiful, convenient stilt houses with simple blankets, and beds but always clean. In the Tay houses, visitors can enjoy the special dishes such as goby cooked with sour bamboo shoots, shred of mountain chicken mixed with salad, grilled pork in bamboo eaten with wild vegetables and enjoy a cup of corn wine – a specialty of Ha Giang. Tay people cook very well, foods are cultivated naturally so rice is plastic and fragrant. Therefore, meals of families of Tha village hold in a cozy stilt houses, in spite of simplicity but specially attracting tourists.

When night downs, visitors are immersed in songs, lyrics of the Tay’s boys and girls. This is a special occasion for visitors from afar to get to know the traditionally folk songs which Tay preserved for many generations. The most impressive thing is Then song, songs for crop, songs for love, singing along with dancing, lively performance, music players will freely play the sound up and down, mild and profound tune and visitors swing following the music.
