Recent years, local and international visitors coming to Hanoi often talk with their love about a tourist attraction called Vietnam Women’s Museum. Thanks to the difference and modern in presenting, categorizing to themes, Vietnam Women’s Museum become outstanding and unique. 
 

Located on the crowed street of Ly Thuong Kiet, Vietnam Women’s Museum is attractive to its colorful and advanced design in the images of Vietnamese women- the main theme of the museum. It is surprising that, Vietnam Women’s Museum was established in the 80s of the last century (in 1987 to be exact) with the contemporary design from the building layout to display space.

This audio player shall introduce and guide the tourist instead of a real tour guide in three languages of Vietnamese, English and French. By this audio player, visitor will be instructed to visit the display spaces in the most appropriate, easy and truthful way through some interviews, the war diaries or personal diaries in a certain period of history. More interesting, in the themes of women’s costumes in different regions, visitors can be immersed in the sound and space of local festivals when seeing the traditional dresses of different regions. Through the combination between sight-look at the artifacts and document and listening- documentary films and instruction audio, visitors will feel that receiving cultural and historical knowledge is not barren and uninteresting any more. Besides, the contemporary art exhibitions are constantly organized, renewing the display space and the content related to the roles of women in society.

Vietnam Women’s Museum is attractive not only for its scientific and impressive way of displaying artifacts and information, but also for the friendliness from the staff, the space and every tiny detail. Wheelchairs are available right in the main lobby of the museum to help the old, the disable to move easily. There is a special discovering room for children from 7 to 15, where they can be creative based on the traditional culture like betel making, weaving, cloth dyeing and so on. 
Introduced as a studying space with a huge source of knowledge from internet and multi-languages- books, the special discovering room is attractive to both local and foreign children due to the cultural and educational meanings from creativities. 

The prizes of tourist destination of the year 2013 and 2014 voted by TripAdvisor and one of the 25 most attractive in Asia have shown the love of local and international tourists to a cultural and historical attraction which is not very popular when talking about Vietnam travel.

Currently, this museum joined in the “world museum week 2016” on Twitter, which is an international program online with 3000 museums taking part in. some famous museums must be named as British Museum (Britain), Louvre Museum (France), Bargello Museum (Italy), etc., It was the first time a museum of Vietnam joining such program, but the result was surprising with more than 518,395 shares. This result once more time confirmed the interest of people to the museum and the potential of advertising through social network to bring the museum more closely to the public. The join in Twitter network also helps Vietnam Women’s Museum to connect to other museums in the world.
