1.    Phở (A kind of noolde) 

Phở is one of the shouldn’t-miss-foods in Hanoi. It is said that if you visit Hanoi without eating noodle, you have never been there. Some traditional famous noodle shops are Pho Bat Dan (number 40 Bat Dan street), Pho Ly Quoc Su, Pho Ganh (Hang Trong Street).

2.    La Vong grilled chopped fish

Fish is fried on in a small pan with oil. There is one charcoal stove every table where the pan is put on. fish is served with baked rice pancake, vermicelli, dry fried peanuts, some kinds of herb, fresh onion and shrimp paste. Shrimp paste is mixed with lemon juice, chili and then stired well until it is effervesce. It’s then added with belostomatid oil, some wine, some fat in liquid and sugar. The dish is umami, sweet and greasy.

3.    Noodle with roasted meat 

The small pieces of meatmarinated with spices are grilled until the fragrance spreads. They then served with a bowl of sweet and sour sauce with vinegar, garlic, chilli, pepper and sliced green papaya. Together with white vermicelli and some kinds of herds, fresh perilla is indispensable in this food.

4.    Roll Cake (Banh Cuon)

Hanoi people frefer the fresh food with less grease, so Roll Cake is the typical dish of this land which is interested by numerous people. The rice to make this kind of cake is selected carefully before being ground into flour and mix with water. A thin crust is coated and picked out quickly. The maker put some pork stir fry with mushrooms and salted shredded shrimp on the cake. This food is served with fish sauce and roasted cinnamon pork.

5.    White vermicelli with tofu and shrimp paste

This has become one of the foods that all visitors to Hanoi want to try atleast one time. The dish is suitable for enjoy all year round. The tofu is cut into small white and grease pieces with a yellow cover. Shrimp paste is the thing that makes this food special. It is mixed with kumquat juice, sliced chilli and some hot cooking oil.

6.    Bánh mì (Vietnamese Bread/ Sandwich) 

Some food savvy persons commented that the bakery in Hanoi can be ranked as one of the best in the world. It can be found anywhere in Hanoi and is the food that should not be missed. However, some of the famous places to enjoy bakery are Nguyen SInh Bakery, Pho Hue Bakery, Quang Trung Bakery and so on.

7.    Ngu Xa Rolled Noodle

Ngu Xa Street nearby Truc Bach Lake has long been an ideal destination for anyone who enjoys noodle rolls. The square rice noodle is rolled with kale and stir fried beef together with sweet and sour sauce. This food is best both in summer for its fresh and cool tastes and in winter for its piping hot.
