Myanmar is fascinated because of not only the poetic sceneries but also the simple beauty of the local residents. Despite the remaining underprivileged living condition, they are always happy and friendly. Myanmar travel includes not only sightseeing to beautiful landscapes, temples and pagodas but also learning about history, culture and cuisine of a typical ancient Asian country.

This is also a chance for you to immerse yourself in the miracle stream of the Buddhist dogma, finding the peace and balance in the soul. “No time is better than now to start your journey, discovering the pure, ancient Myanmar alongside the fast moving society” – said Nathan Lump, editor of Travel & Leisure magazine.

YANGON –THE HEART OF MYANMAR

In spite of the empowerment to the new capital of Naypyi Daw, Yangon is still the largest city in Myanmar. Unlike other cities which are busy with high rise buildings and shopping malls, Yangon appears to be ancient with numerous temples, lakes and parks. Some restaurants, cafes or houses are in the colonial architecture including the City Hall.

Coming to Yangon, you should visit Shwedagon Pagoda, which is located in a sacred area of a peaceful hill. Standing inside the pagoda, you will have the feeling of getting lost into the Penglai where presents about 1000 Buddha statues with kindly faces. Next to the pagoda is the golden tower which the top is decorated with different types of gemstones. The tower is the place retaining the remains of the monks.

Far away are the houses in the shape of bells looming under the thin mist.

At around 5pm, the boat will be arriving to Mrauk-U, the land which used to be the capital city of the two prosperous dynasties from 15th century to 18th century.

It looks as if it is going to fall down. It is said that, the stone is kept by some invisible hair shafts of the Buddha, so it cannot be moved.

The Kyaiktiyo pagoda, made from gold, situated at the top of the mountain.  In the dawn, at noon or sunset, the pagoda looks sparkling and fanciful, combining to the smoke of incense and the resounded prayers.
