How to get there

You can get to Danang by any means of transport. Together with the advantage of natural beauty, the convenient in transport is also a strength of this city. You can go by plane, train, coach or motorbike, and so on.
Train: It takes about between 14 and 20 hours to travel from Hanoi or HCM city to Danang depending on the speed of the train you catch. It takes longer from Saigon to Danang than from Hanoi due to the longer distance. 
  • The train ticket from Hanoi to Danang is $15- $31, depending on types of seat.
  • The train ticket from Saigon to Danang is $43 - $62, depending on types of seat.
Airplane: Depending on the airline, the flight ticket to Danang from Hanoi costs from $34 to $105. It takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes and that is the same for flight from Saigon to Danang.
Coach: The coaches to Danang are often the North-South coaches with beds. The ticket prices and quality are not so much different between different brands. You can refer some names like: Hoang Long, mai Linh, Hlink, Thuan Thao, Phuong Trang, and so on.
  • In Hanoi, tickets are available at Giap Bat and Nuoc Ngam car parks.
  • In Sai Gon, Mien Dong car park is the place you can buy ticket.  Note: you should book tickets in advance or call for the drivers to avoid the situation that tickets are sold out or being packed in the coach. Ticket price is from $25 - $35 and the travel time is between 18 hours to 20 hours.

Climate and best time to visit Danang

Danang is a city of the South Cetral region which has the typical monsoon tropical climate with high and stable temperature. There are 2 different seasons in a year: rainy season which lasts from August to December and dry season from January to July. The best time to visit Danang is between February and August when you can avoid the unexpected effects of storms. However, if you want to have a saving travel, the period between January and April is the good time due to the cool climate without storms and not so expensive service costs.
